KINDERGARTEN
The full day Kindergarten program provides children with learning activities in all disciplines: phonics, reading, writing, match, science, art, music, computer, gross/fine motor and interpersonal. The classroom is divided into a variety of small learning centers. These centers help foster language, discovery, literacy, social skills, independent learning and cooperative learning. The learning centers include: Language Arts We also encourage large motor activities by providing outdoor time. Recess is an integral part of the Kindergartner’s day. Learning is achieved through both independent and cooperative group activities. Independent learning activities are used to develop phonemic awareness, phonics skills, reading, writing, math and number skills. Concepts learned in small group activities include art activities, science experiments, cooking experiences, writing activities, graph formations, estimation and group illustration activities. A small class size and individual attention allows the Kindergarten children to learn skills and concepts at a faster and more relaxed place. |
